The Municipal Botanical Garden Oberá is a space to be a place of conservation and interpretation center of the Atlantic Forest, in order to know and appreciate our biodiversity.
The property is located in the neighborhood Schuster, meters of Integrative Community Center Oberá and is driven by the Rotary Club Oberá initiative and Nature Foundation, with the support of the Municipality of Oberá. The project aims to eventually combine an interactive farm with interpretation trails, trail health, natural science museum, animal facilities for breeding of native species and an educational meteorological station.
The interactive farm segment comprises a space where a typical missionary farm will be recreated, with its main crops and domestic animals, where visitors can interact with the species and crops. Meanwhile, coinciding with the interpretation trails, it is expected to track health travel over a thousand meters for walking and exercises in contact with nature.
Eventually the paths will cross the different environments of the Botanical Garden, with access to information and explanatory posters on the species and the system of official Paranaense forest ecosystem. The natural history museum will feature a library, conference space and talks on environmental issues aimed at educational institutions and social organizations.
