Coastal Route No. 2 runs over an imposing natural and cultural landscape, from Azara to the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve where the greens of the jungle slowly sink into the depths of the Moconá Falls. They are the smells and colors of production, the green of yerba mate and forestation, the brown of tobacco, the colors of the Brazilian border of soy and the rainbow of tourism … it is the temptation to want to have it, it’s the feeling of being able to do it.

The “Don Juan Szychowski” Museum synthesizes the future and entrepreneurship of the first immigrants. Concepción de la Sierra, a town that offers to breathe Jesuit air, immediately the remains of Santa María La Mayor in the homonymous town. In Santa María it offers us the possibility of visiting the Guaraní community “Ojo de Agua” and being able to acquire some of the handicrafts.

In Itacaruaré we will make a stop at the Camping and Municipal Spa, in San Javier, the route approaches and plays with the coast of the Uruguay River offering scenes of singular beauty over the river and Cerro Monje, the main center of religious pilgrimage in the province and continue along a route that requires enjoyment and mate.

In Mojón Grande and Florentino Ameghino, we can choose any of the picturesque interior paths, and there a series of viewpoints begin to burst in, allowing us to sharpen our eyes and prepare the camera to take “the postcard”. The Salto “Paca”, “Pardo” and “Zacarías camouflaged in the jungle are appearing; in Panambí, Puerto Sánchez, a campsite that pays tribute to the Guaraní mythology, and the Cerro Mbororé, the scene of 7 days in which this battle lasted (1641) against the bandeirantes.

And we are already in a space where the magic of nature and the green of the jungle covers everything: it is the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve and the Moconá Provincial Park of 999 ha of lush and dense Paraná jungle and the Moconá Falls.
