Currently San Ignacio Mini is the best preserved of the Jesuit missions of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries in Argentine territory. Around a central plaza the church are distributed, the House of the Fathers, the cemetery, the houses and the town hall. The dimension of the work has meant that, despite years of deterioration, most of the walls still standing.

The Jesuit Reduction San Ignacio Mini, along with those of Our Lady of Loreto, Santa Ana and Santa Maria Maggiore (located in Argentina) were declared World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1984. In turn, the city of San Ignacio is a resort with exciting landscapes like the Rock of Teyú Cuaré, the Yabebirí river and natural beauties scattered throughout its length, framed by the majestic native flora that seeps through every corner.

Located in San Ignacio, Teyú Cuaré Provincial Park was created to protect a rocky outcrop of unique natural beauty. Its natural caves provide shelter for numerous species of bats. It is a site of historical and cultural value that has inspired the writer Horacio Quiroga.
It is accessed through National Route No. 12 (paved), which connects to the Southwest with Santa Ana and Posadas, and the Northeast with Gobernador Roca and Puerto Iguazu. Another means of communication is the Provincial Route No. 210, which connects the south with the people of Dominic Savio, located within the city limits.
